Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3 introduces a variety of new content, including fresh weapons, maps, operators, and a brand-new Battle Pass. However, one of the most requested additions isn’t a new piece of content at all—it’s the ability to control who you play against.
With Season 3, Activision has expanded cross-play settings across Black Ops 6 and Warzone, giving players more options when matchmaking. Previously limited primarily to Ranked Play, cross-play controls are now available in standard multiplayer playlists as part of Activision’s ongoing effort to improve competitive integrity and combat cheating.
The update arrives alongside enhanced anti-cheat measures designed to provide a cleaner and fairer experience across all platforms.
How to Turn Off Cross-Play in Black Ops 6 and Warzone
If you’d prefer to play only against players on your own platform or limit your matchmaking pool, follow these steps:
- Launch the Game
Start Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 or Warzone on your preferred platform. - Open Settings
From the main menu, navigate to the Account & Network tab. - Select Your Preferred Game Mode
You’ll find separate cross-play options for:- Multiplayer (Unranked)
- Multiplayer Ranked Play
- Warzone Ranked Play
- Adjust Cross-Play Settings
For each mode, you can choose from the following options:- Cross-Play On
- Cross-Play On (Console Only)
- Cross-Play Off
Important Notes
Cross-play settings cannot be changed while you’re actively in a match or waiting in a lobby. To make adjustments, you’ll need to return to the main menu first.
Keep in mind that disabling cross-play may increase matchmaking times depending on your platform, region, and selected playlist.
