SEGA officially unveiled Crazy Taxi: World Tour during the Xbox Games Showcase, marking the long-awaited return of the legendary arcade franchise after more than two decades. Launching in 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, the game brings back fan-favorite driver Axel and the series’ signature brand of high-speed, law-breaking insanity. Players will race through crowded city streets, pick up fares, and do whatever it takes to beat the clock, whether that means launching off ramps, weaving through traffic, or leaving a trail of destruction behind.

The reveal trailer showcased the franchise’s trademark reckless driving, explosive stunts, and punk-rock attitude, while teasing new activities beyond taxi fares, including side jobs and expanded gameplay features. If the first look is any indication, Crazy Taxi: World Tour is doubling down on the chaos that made the original a Dreamcast icon. GameBump will keep you updated as we learn more.
