Mojang has officially ended support for VR and mixed reality headsets in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, bringing the game’s virtual reality era to a close.
The change follows the final VR update released in March 2025, with Mojang confirming in its latest changelog that its “ability to support VR/MR devices has come to an end.”
Players will still be able to access Minecraft on PC, keep their existing worlds, and continue making purchases through the Marketplace. However, the game will no longer function with supported VR or mixed reality hardware, including PC VR and PlayStation VR headsets.
Mojang previously announced plans to discontinue PlayStation VR support, making the latest update the final step in ending VR compatibility across Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
