Microsoft has announced that Xbox console prices will increase worldwide beginning August 1, 2026, citing rising storage and memory costs across the consumer electronics industry.

The Xbox Series S 512GB will increase by $100, while 1TB models will see a $150 price increase. Microsoft also confirmed it is discontinuing the 2TB Xbox model.

Alongside the price changes, Microsoft announced several new affordability programs, including Buy Now, Pay Later options through Microsoft Stores, 0% APR financing with participating partners, expanded trade-in programs, and Certified Refurbished Xbox consoles offering savings of up to $100 off MSRP.

Microsoft says the Xbox Series S will remain its most affordable console for upcoming releases including Grand Theft Auto VI, Gears of War: E-Day, Halo: Campaign Evolved, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and Madden NFL 27.
