Fear the Spotlight on the Nintendo Switch takes you on a wild, eerie ride through a world filled with creepy creatures and creepy vibes, much like Silent Hill. The gameplay is all about exploring dark, unsettling places, solving puzzles, and trying to survive. You’ll spend a lot of time sneaking around and avoiding monsters rather than fighting them head-on, which ramps up the tension. Limited ammo and health packs make you feel vulnerable, forcing you to think twice before pulling the trigger. The slow pace keeps you on edge, and every corner feels like it could hide something terrifying. It’s got that classic survival horror vibe where the atmosphere does most of the scary work

There are a few different modes to sink your teeth into, like the story-driven campaign and a challenge mode for when you want to test your survival skills. The campaign dives into the main character’s disturbing journey, and while it’s packed with creepy moments, the challenge mode is all about fighting off waves of enemies. It’s fun, but it can get a bit repetitive after a while, with not a ton of variety in the kinds of enemies you face. Still, if you love a good challenge, it’s worth trying out.

Graphically, the game nails that eerie, foggy look you’d expect from a survival horror title, with creepy streets and twisted creatures that feel like they’re straight out of a nightmare. The atmosphere is helped along by a spine-chilling soundtrack and unsettling sounds that keep you on high alert. As for scares, Fear the Spotlight builds a slow sense of dread rather than throwing jump scares at you.

It’s definitely creepy, but it might not leave you hiding under the covers. If you’re into atmospheric horror that messes with your mind more than your heart, this one’s worth checking out.
